Cameron Larmer
Founder and President
Cameron was born in the United States and was captivated by the oceans from an early age. He founded Turning the Tide when he was 14 years old and started the Turning the Tide club at Eckerd College in 2019.
Cameron is majoring in marine science and minoring in film studies and environmental science. He is a PADI certified Advanced Open Water Diver and has assisted in tagging sharks and rays in Sarasota, Ft. Lauderdale, and Bimini. His favorite marine organism is the blue whale.
Meher “Nemo” Datta
Vice President, Turning the Tide club at Eckerd College
Nemo was born in India and has loved the oceans since she was 3 years old. She became the Vice President of the Turning the Tide club at Eckerd College in 2019.
Nemo is majoring in environmental studies and minoring in biology. She has experience tagging sharks and rays in Bimini. Her favorite marine organism is the jellyfish.
