Dr. Carl Safina joins Turning the Tide’s Cameron Larmer to discuss animal behavior, environmental conservation issues, and his work as an ecologist and author.
Dr. Carl Safina is an ecologist, New York Times best-selling author, founder of the not-for-profit Safina Center, and host of PBS’s Saving the Ocean With Carl Safina. He occupies the Endowed Chair for Nature and Humanity at Stony Brook University.
Dr. Safina has won the MacArthur “genius” prize, fellowships from Pew and Guggenheim, book awards from Lannan, Orion, and the National Academies, and the John Burroughs, James Beard, and George Rabb medals.
