Origami Turtle (with Bottle Cap Barnacles)

An artwork tying together bottle caps, art, and marine life— the bottle-cap-barnacle origami turtle! The origami design was originally by Steven Casey.

According to Animals Australia, over 100,000 animals die from plastic [bags] each year. Looking on the brighter side, this also means over 100,000 could be saved if we work together.

So, adding plastic into this artwork seemed like a good step to make. Barnacles, contrarily, are not very dangerous and the plastic bottle caps are not representing something that is harmful to turtles. However, plastic bottle caps (and in extension bottle caps), unlike barnacles, do pose actual threat to turtles.
