Hello friends and followers! 🙂
I am sfcamster, more simply known as Cam, and I am the founder of this organization. I am a 14-year old kid who would like to do something about the issue that litter is having on the ocean. To aid efforts in achieving this, Turning the Tide has been born.
Turning the Tide is using art to raise awareness about the effects litter has on the ocean, a wonderful, beautiful environment of balance on the home we call Earth.
As a starting project, I am working on a film for the organization.
This film should be an alternating sequence of film by the ocean and symbolic film starring an origami fish designed by Davor Vinko. I have requested his permission to use it in a film, and he has granted it. 😀
The film should be short (2 minutes or under), and I hope it provides an image for Turning the Tide. As a voiceover to the film, I have planned to read poetry. I can write the poem, but I thought it would be much more interesting if one of those who read this post gave it a try!
So I request that if you would like, please submit a poem that could be chosen for the film. It should be short to moderate in length (100-300 words) and revolve around what you appreciate about the ocean.
I, or one of the members, can then do a read of it over the film. You will be given due credit in the video. 😉
Thank you so much for your time.
Should I post it in the comments or on my blog?

There should be a form on the post. You may need to be on a computer to see it. 🙂

It’s fine, I already submitted a poem. 😊 Did you see it? It might be a bit weird sounding, but it’s the best I could do on short notice.
